Play Date Details:
Date: Wednesday, JUNE 29, 2016
Time: Feel free to show up any time between 9:30am and Noon - we’ll just be hanging out in the backyard! Don't forget to confirm your approximate arrival time so we know we can have someone at the door to greet you! We do have kiddos in our program that will need lunch and nap, so plan on leaving no later than noon so we can respect their routine!
Location: We are located near the Arboretum area - it was included in a confirmation email you should have already received. If you did not receive the confirmation message, please email us to get directions! Our mailbox is the one with paint splatter all over it ;-) Feel free to park anywhere on the street - please try to avoid blocking mailboxes or driveways, of course (our neighbors and postwoman will thank you!)
Who Can Attend: One or both parents and the kiddos you RSVPed. At least one of the kids needs to be between the ages of 18 months and 6 years. It’s OK if older siblings attend - just know that the activities will be geared towards little ones! And this probably goes without saying, but at least 1 parent must remain onsite at all times - no drop offs!
What to Wear: Make sure your kiddos are in clothes that you don’t mind messing up :-) Think of it kind of like a mini “Trash the Dress” session, but with your very own little hot mess front-and-center instead of a bride! We'll have a wash station with towels available if you'd like to wash up before going home :-)
What to Expect: We’ll have some of our favorite Splitter Splat activities available for the kiddos to free play in the back yard and hopefully get to know each other. We’ll also provide some snacks and be there to answer any questions you might have about the program and will probably be asking you a few questions ourselves! We’re looking forward to meeting each of you!
Bethony Harnden of Capture House Photography will be onsite quietly capturing the fun and has agreed to make the photos available to you AT NO CHARGE! We expect it to be relaxed and informal - think mostly candid shots of your kiddos in messy situations ;-) We’ll give you all the details you need about how to access the photos when you get here!
Bad Weather Plan: Here at Splitter Splat, there’s pretty much no such thing as bad weather, so come rain or shine, we’ll probably still be out back playing in the yard! In the event that there is rain, feel free to bring rain boots, bathing suits and/or raincoats! Unfortunately, if there is a lot of thunder or lightning, for the safety of everyone we would have to cancel or delay. I’ll let everyone know whether or not we’re calling it off due to that by 8am the morning of the event.
SO WHAT’S NEXT?
Sit tight and feel free to check out our Facebook page or family blog for regular updates! We post pix of things we do, recipes or activities we’re trying, how-tos and other fun, family + mess related stuff!
Please don’t hesitate to email us about any questions you may have about our program or the event!
We're a private, part-time playcamp for Pre-K kiddos who love to have fun and get messy!
