This week's theme is "Things that Go" and we wanted to do car ramps out of pool noodles. GREAT IDEA, right? Wrong. Turns out the holes in our noodles are too small to create a big enough groove for the average matchbox car to drive down. Wink wonk!
"No sweat!" I said to myself, determined to find an excuse to cut a pool noodle in half with a large knife. "PING PONG BALLS! That's perfect!" I exclaimed in another awesome Eureka! moment.
ANOTHER GREAT IDEA, right? Wrong. Turns out the groove still isn't deep enough to prevent the ping pong ball from going "off the rails" at even the slightest turn or dip. Wink winkety wonk!
"Fine. I'll just raid the Choke Bottle for the super obvious - marbles and micro machines. How are we going to keep track of all those things outside? Ugh." I thought.
ENTER little M's Mom. I love B. She is awesome - she's laid back, creative and definitely knows how to think outside the box. After hearing about what was planned for today, she said "HOW ABOUT ICE!?" GENIUS. Thank you B!
How'd You Do That?
*OK obviously just joking about that one...hehe
Tips & Tricks
No matter how big the fail, you can almost always still have fun. When we did this one day at Splitter Splat, while we were busy being super bummed, the kiddos decided to "race" to see who's could make their ice to melt faster. They came up with that totally on their own!
We're a private, part-time playcamp for Pre-K kiddos who love to have fun and get messy!
